Oooopp... re-read the post, want to go Inexpenisvly.. Sorry Dont know anything about the Stock setup, but the Weber's are stupid easy to rebuild. Just did it on mine, runs WHOLE lots better. Idles at 900, cold idles at like 400 (until it warms up... need pre-heater) and runs straight to 7k...

Spend the $400 and get a Weber Carb. TONS and OODLES more power, NO MORE VACUUM LINES, and mine passes emissions without so much as a nod from the IM machines. -Karl

I got an 86 Sammy with the Weber Carb on it. Havin some trouble lately, and i got everything else either elimiated, or replaced. Anyone got a diagram or a working model of the weber on there sammy, and can show/describe the vacuum line diagram for that? I think i am missing a line that goes...

I wish I knew how to contact him. All I know is that 2-2.5 yrs ago we put some 33's on his sammy, and i was more interested in how he got the engine around the Emission people.

2 of them where the Carb 2.8 out of various year blazers/S10, one was a MPFI 2.8 out of a Fiero. All of them rebuilt there motors, and one guy had almost 40k on it since rebuild/install with no problems.
