One of the great things about diesel fuel is that it does not evaporate like gas does and then leave a varnish deposit. So... the odds are things like injectors and pumps will be fine. Now... having said the above... diesel fuel does a good job of holding water and promoting bio growth after...

Just my .02 - A few easy sites I take the nieces and nephews on during their first few trips: - Guardsman Pass up Big Cottonwood canyon - Butterfield canyon out by Kenecott (great view at top) - Skull Valley about 20 miles West of Tooele - The dirt road mountain passes about 20 miles down...

Mileage, like all things, is relative. :D My '97 Rover D90 gets 12 MPG street and about 10 MPG off-road. My Ruby gets 15 MPG street and about 10 MPG off-road. The big practical difference is in the size of the fuel tanks with the D90 at only 15 gallons capacity I carry a jerry can of fuel...
