Thanks for all of the suggestions. I will start looking more into a internal swap, for it seems that would be the best way to go in my situation. What would you suggest for a transfer case? I will be running a Dana 60 out of a 2000 Ford F-350 (balljoints, high pinion, 3.73 gears) with a 14 bolt rear. Something like a 231/231 doubler, 242, stock 249? What do ya think?

A ford d60 from a 2000 will have the metric 8 lug bolt pattern and a 14 bolt will have the typical 8 lug pattern, so the wheels won't interchange. If you do have a 2000 d60 be sure it is a 60 and not 50. If it is from a super duty then you are limited to the ford rear axles, (ford 10.50 is most typical they are fine axles.)

x2 on the np231/d300
post #11 on my build thread talks a little about mine. I ended up air shifting the 231, the d300 shifters come through the factory t-case hole.

x-infinity on not using the th350/np203/205. it is huge and heavy and overkill for a jeep.
