Artec JK C Gussets

Make RME Rockcrawling Again!

The entire JK front axle housing is a weak point, if you're going to really use it offroad with tires larger than stock. For stock tires and mild offroading (not Moab rock crawling) I think it's fine for the life of the vehicle. The suspension link & track bar mounts are stamped sheetmetal, tubes are incredibly thin, knuckles are tiny, etc. If you're going to run tires bigger than 33's and wheel in Moab (which is hard on parts) then IMO the front axle needs to be addressed or a failure will eventually happen.

There are a few different options, sleeving the tubes and gusseting the C's is common. Artec makes a pretty neat JK truss. Or a new Tera 44 (or 30) axle housing, which is what I did. The Tera 44 is so much bigger & beefier in every way compared to the stock JK Dana 44!
