Deadwood does just kindof end, but it's nothing like Sopranos. The disappointment you feel after the last ep of Deadwood is just that you don't get to see any more eps, not that you are unfulfilled by the ending.

There was talk of making some deadwood movies but that fell through.

Deadwood is better than any of the series you mentioned. It's right up there with band of brothers.
