Do any local 4x4 shops work on Hummers?

Does anyone know of any local off road shops that work on Hummers (H2 and H3)?

I need some gussets welded in and some stronger steering and suspension pieces installed (upper control arms, dual shocks, idler pivot, and pitman and idler arm support).

They are built on a GM drivetrain.

I have read a lot of threads here and have read many good things about them.

Chevycrew is right, if Ben Hanks works on Chevy's and GMC's they won't be surprised by anything under an H2. It's all 3/4 ton GM.

Just got my Jeep back from Ben's and they are great to work with

I thought they used some stuff from the 1/2 tons on H2s

the h3 is off the colorado platform not the s10....

Yeah......

The Hummers are not very well understood by the off road community yet.

The axles on the H2 are 8 lug, that's GM 3/4 ton.

The axles on the H3 are 6 lug, GM 1/2 ton.

The Colorado trucks are different. The H2 has a modified Suburban frame (boxed with additional cross members added). The Colorado frame is modified the same way for use in the H3.

The engines are shared with the Colorado and the Tahoe. The transfer cases are not.

i stated the steering and suspension were based off the s10 platform not the drivetrain. also the colorado was based of the s10 steering and suspension too!

No... no they don't. H2 is the SAME drivetrain as a 2500 light duty truck, the only real difference is the 4.56 gears.
