ok im starting my motor and trany swap next weekend in my 87 cherokee it has a 4.0 and a 5 speed in it im just swapping another 4.o in but im putting an aw4 in im wondering if anyone has wired the trany in to the factory harness i have the trany computer and the plugs for it and the trany but im not sure on what ill have to wire in

I put an aw4 in my scrambler and my son has an 87 with an aw4 so we should be able to show you what is involved. What year did the donor parts come from ? If they are from 87-90 you should be able to swap the wiring strait over.
the doner was an 88 i didnt pull the whole harness i didnt have the time so i cut out as much as i could so ill have to splice in to the 87 harness ill start pulling the old motor and trany on friday and i have to have the new ones in before the end of the day sunday
