It seems like we have been pretty relaxed about enforcing the rules concerning how RME operates for the last couple years. This has been a good thing because it means 95% of our members are being respectful and friendly with their interactions here.
Some people have been taking advantage of this, lacking respect for the other members and are pushing their luck lately. I just wanted to post up and remind the small percentage of users who aren't aware of how things work around here.
First off, READ!! Read the rules, especially if you are new! The classifieds are a major draw to RME. If you wish to use them PLEASE read the Classifieds Rules and then follow them. If your ad was deleted, look at the rules and see if you did something you should/should not have done. The rules are there to help you and the other members with the transaction, not punish or hurt you.
Secondly, if a Moderator asks you to change something, be respectful and do so. Try to understand why you are being asked to make a change and DO NOT second-guess the Mod! If you cop an attitude, you will be told to leave. Not asked, TOLD! DO NOT ARGUE WITH AN ADMIN OR MODERATOR!! Their decision is final, no questions asked.
Lastly, all of us are here for a reason. Most of us are here for fun, information, friends, knowledge and in general, a good time. Please be respectful to the other members with your interactions here. Being disrespectful on RME will get you nowhere. This is a very tight-knit community, at one point or another you will probably run into other members out on the trail. Keep that in mind as you sit at your computer and type out your thoughts.
Here's the Rules & Guidelines... read them, follow them. If you cannot follow them, please find another place on the internet to spend your time, otherwise we will gladly help you find the door out.

Our General Principles
We expect that all members of RME will behave in a way that’s conducive to the diversity, intelligence and respectfulness of the community. Each of these three general principles is fundamental to the quality of our site.
Diversity... We’re a community from different backgrounds and with different perspectives on sports and life. At all times, we expect our members to respect that.
Intelligence... We’re a community with quality standards and expect our members will make a sincere effort to contribute their thoughts on interesting subjects in a meaningful and respectful manner. Posting messages and otherwise interacting on RME is completely optional; many members often prefer to just read what others have to say. But if you do post, we expect that you’ll be respectful of the time of others by posting meaningfully.
Respectfulness... We expect our member to show respect for others. Respecting their person, their views, their time and their opinions ... even if you disagree with them.
Basic Guidelines
The following eight categories of online conduct are unacceptable at RME and constitute a violation of our Community Standards which may result in warning, suspension or loss of membership:
Harrassment... Harassment occurs when a member insults, attacks, and denigrates another member at any time. We have zero tolerance for taking an argument about a any topic to a personal level. For instance, the use of terms such as "idiot, moron, stupid" and other derogatory terms constitutes harassment. Repeated critical and sharply negative posts toward a forum member can also constitute harassment.
Disruption... Posts which intend to disrupt the topic of conversation or steer the topic away from the focus of the forum and related news. Disruption can include harassment, multiple posting of the same post and posting completely off topic messages.
Vulgarity and Sexual Explicitness... As a community with a diverse variety of members and readers, we ask that our members to post without using vulgarity. Vulgarity not only includes vulgar language and pictures but also sexist, racist, anti-religious and homophobic language which may offend other members. In addition, the "masking" of vulgarity by inserting * or another keystroke in place of one or more letters in a vulgar term is unacceptable in most cases. We realize that there's a "grey area" of judgement with vulgarity but we ask that you'll respect others by avoiding vulgarity.
Solicitation... RME provides opportunities for non-commercial entities to advertise items for sale in the classifieds forums. Shops and other commercial entities are welcome to advertise their services through the RME vendor program. Out of respect for those vendors supporting RME, commercial entities not participating in the vendor program have no rights to post anything related to their business in any forum, profile, avatar, or signature. Finally, if you have a Site you would like to submitted for the 'Links' forum, contact me.
Spamming... Spamming is the multiple posting of an identical or similar post on one or more of our Forums.
Copyrighted Material... You may post links to appropriate articles but posting articles from other sources in their entirety is a violation of our Community Standards. Use your best judgement, since you agree in the Terms of Use to be held legally responsible for your own posts on this system, but if you must repost quotes or sentences, please credit the source.
Rating Level... Keep all Pictures & Attachments, Conversations and Language at a PG-13 level. Anything beyond PG-13 will be deleted!
Images in Avatars & Signatures...No 'girly' pics will be tollerated in Avatars. Keep your Avatars related to wheelin'. Also, large Images in signatures will be removed. Small Images, related to wheelin' are OK.
