I was first in line at Britney. (counter clockwise) Up the first climb and smack into that little pointy outcropping. I like my leafsprings most of the time but there are times when they seem to snag on everything. Just had to think it through and work a little harder, and up I came. I stopped at the short cut and let everybody get caught up. Then there was a bunch of Jeeps below us coming up the bottom. They saw us above and stopped to come and watch. I picked my line through the upper part and drove right up, with the cheers of the small crowd that had gathered. Only had to back up a couple of times. On to Pivot rock, and down the other side.
I managed to put a major dent in my skid plate below my oil pan, and smashed an exhaust pipe too. Mike was next in line, and thought better of going all the way up
since he had no skid plate below his oil pan. It would be bad news to tear off the oil pan on that fine running machine. Tig was next, no video this time, as an electrical gremlin killed his fuel pump and kept blowing fuses. Here we are a bunch of gear heads and it took us forever to get him moving again. He took the short cut, as we were not sure what electrical problems he was having. Bob came next with his Rockwelled Jeep. ( it is too a Jeep). No problem for him up and around pivot rock, but by now we had lost the crowd, so he only got mild applause from the rest of us. But it was a great show.
From there it was back to camp.
