UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
My neighbors dads motor home Jeep. 2001 Sport. 115k miles. Was stolen. I believe he said he left the key in it. Insurance totaled it. He is checking on the buy back price now and will let me know. I went with him today to look it over. Probably not cost effective to fix it for a cheep Jeep or to flip, but would be amazing for a build. Tub is perfect. Frame is bent outwards at the front pass side shock mount. Radiator pushed into the fan. Engine runs and might have an exhaust leak. Hood should be salvageable. No damage at all to the tub. Interior looks brand new. Couldn’t believe how nice it was.

If someone wanted to link the front end it would be pretty simple to cut the front frame section and run new tube straight out the front. It would solve that problem and give more axle clearance.

No prices on anything yet. He has not decided what he wants to do with it. I imagine he will take the insurance money and run. It is at Copart in Magna right now. I assume it will stay there.

I'll post a price if he decides to buy it back and sell it. I told him I'd check here to get an idea if there was any interest in it.

The problem with most of those front end hits is they bend rails at the weakest part of the frame all the way to the next strongest part, i.e. the belly pan mount. My guess is if that if it was a bad wreck, it might not be a good candidate for the Motobilt front end kit. Lots of measurements would be needed to verify.
