It is. He waited 14 years to hunt book cliffs with his muzzle loader. Then it was all over in 45 minutes.

Skipping the crowds of deer hunters seemed like a good idea. It was chilly and we saw an unprecedented 60-70 sharp-tails, but they were JUMPY.
The scenery is beautiful right now and spending time with my son and good friends is great. Snow up top. I made a great shot on one and missed a couple of other easier ones.

December has been busy but I have been out a few times.

Some solo time on the river. It's sure tough to take good photos solo, but one is 26" and one at 22". I love the winter.

26" is pretty serious. I think that's as big/bigger of a fish as I've ever caught

It is really big for trout in a river in the west. The calculator puts it at about 8.75 lbs, the girth was 18".
I'm really lucky to have caught some nice ones. This weekend should be good too.

I have never had this kind of weather on the First of the year. It was still cold, but not bad at all. I wish I would have brought my duck gun, they were everywhere.

Had to go to Idaho to fish with my brother and nephew in law
. The day started out perfect and then the storm blew in. We all caught nice fish, we just got spread out on the river.
