It sounds like there is going to be a lot of people for a trail run and with different levels of ability and desires. Since Greg said he would take 6 - 8, what if we had a few options of trails to run and you just choose who you wanna go with or what trail. Just a thought.

I'd be quite careful with doing to much structured planning for trails and keep this to a picnic planning trip. Otherwise the BLM will require a permit and insurance.

I agree we don't want to fall into that. We don't need to make a structure of any kind. But be aware of the possible vastness of the group and should probably break out into smaller groups as it is. Everybody knows the bigger the group the slower goes the trail, not that it is a bad thing, we should just have options for everyone ( if we can ) who wants to be involved.

Shawn, I'll be at a hotel, but I can't remember which one at the moment....

Bart, your reply wasn't there when I started typing. You're just faster than me! :D

Are staying in the same camping spot? I really don't want to take extra water with me and we are planning on boondock camping. So, I would like to swing by and fill up with water if you are good with that.

Let me know.

Nope, not that one. Beck made the arrangements, so I'll get back to you on the Moab room. I do know that Sunday we'll be at Best Western in Torrey though.

I think we will be there and will have another couple with us. We won't have the buggy or Jeep with us though. Can we still attend the BBQ?
Oh good heavens YES!! The BBQ is open to anyone who wants to come. The official BBQ thread will come later with all that pertinant info. This thread was more to get a feel of who was coming down and what kind of trails everyone was interested in.

JPNGRL44 and I were thinking that Poison Spider was a good choice for the girl's run. Are there any other women that are interested in something like that? Or would it be better to do an open PSM run and then something a little sassier, like BFE and hitting Minor Threat and Green Day?

I love the idea of a girls run :D But maybe that would be more fun on Sunday or something so as to not leave the guys out of all the fun... Ben has mentioned maybe mountain biking if we do go on a girls run, but other than that I'm not really sure what he would do; and to be quite honest if the situation was reversed I can't say I would be to hip about sitting at camp all day while I was in MOAB!

Oh no!! The guys are more than welcome to come, it would just be the girls DRIVING. I guess I should have made that more clear! I am no where near brave enough to go out without my trusty mechanic. Plus, we're all there for such a short time, it's not fair to leave anyone behind. And honestly, maybe trying to put together a girls run is a little far fetched. We could just stick with an RME run and us cool girls could just show all the boys how to get it done. ;)

I'd be happy to lead a handful of vehicles, 6-8 max, on a scenic route. :)

Thanks for volunteering me Tara... -_-

That would be awesome!!! Rose Garden is an AWESOME scenic trail, (did it for safari) and is nothing hard, until you get to the actual roase garden hill, t which point you go up, and back down, so you technically wouldnt even need to go up it, if you didnt want to. So what I am saying is, if you wanted to do a scenic trail, this may be a good one to do, you can have a TON of vehicles, and not worry about spotting any of them until the last hill, and that is one obstacle. That is it.;) Nothing really hard with this trail, just a fun, very scenic drive.:)

Sounds like we should have a few options that day. One of the options should be an all girls run. For those who have SO's that would rather not drive we should have an option for that as well as another more scenic, easy going option.

An all girls run sounds good. Do they have to own their own rigs? If so, Jenn's in.

Moab rim run would be good

seems to be quite a bit of that;)

Well well well, see what happens when you start speaking without permission? I'll have you know I owned my jeep before you and I were even friends.

Get back in your cage...
