longer wheelbase how?

I stretched my TJ's wheelbase 106". I moved the stock gas tank to where the rear seats were. Lenthened my control arms and added Fox Airshox. I'm very happy with this setup.

When I did mine I didn't want to have to mess with the frame to keep my coil springs. I also didn't want to go with leaf springs. Thats why I opted for the Airshox. So far I have been very pleased with them both onroad and off.

If you get the time, I'd love to see you post a detailed thread and pictures of the lenghting. It sounds like a great TJ mod.

Here's a pic of my buddy's YJ. I believe that he ended up around 103" on his wheel base. Just relocated the rear spring mounts further back.

EDIT: He's using the RE 1.5" spring over springs.....pretty good ones in my opinion.
