Ok paint guys... (Mbryson)
We are having the roof redone on our warehouse at work. The stupid roofers painted some black epoxy stuff Yesterday.... in the wind.... and proceded to cover about 20 cars (and one Harley) in the parking lot with overspray! My jeep is an 05. It is now covered front, back, top, side to side, Mirrors, rims, windows, plastic trim, everything on the outside with black speckles of the stuff. They tried to downplay it. Said it was no big deal and the stuff would come right off. They passed out rags and a Acrylic thinner for everyone to clean their cars with.
I tested it in a corner and it did take the stuff off. Lots of people used it to clean their cars, Most of them older. Some came out ok but at least one persons hood has swirls in the clear coat where their were bigger spots. What should I do? I called one body shop and thet told me not to put anything on it and bring it to them to fix.
Is their something out their that would be ok to use without damaging the paint? They said they would buff it off of our cars for us if we wanted. But I thought you were not supposed to buff newer cars. I have been thinking about calling my ins. Co about it???
Any suggestions?
Jeromy
