Alright. Haven't updated this in awhile. I really haven't done that much. But I've been wanting a place to mount my tablet for GPS usage.

Went to the junkyard a found a non-navigation switch panel. Swapped my switches over and added some double sided tape Velcro stuff I've had lying around for years. total cost $5

I don't know right now. Its mostly sitting in the driveway since I drive my BMW and Toyota Sequoia a lot.

I'd say on the highway around 15-16 going 70-75. if I go slower its usually around 17. When I go down to Moab, I usually fill up when I leave Layton and then in Price. But my gas gauge is also off, When its shows a quarter tank, I still have 10 gallons left. I have a 24 or 26 gallon tank. I don't remember off hand.

Curious about your Velcro tablet mount, how firm is it? Do you think it will be up to the task when/if you're traveling down a rutted road shaking everything? I've wanted a tablet mount for a while but with the amount of washboard roads I've gone through I don't trust suction cups either. The ram mounts seem to be where it's at, but I haven't seen one in person to see how sturdy they are.

i used 2" wide Velcro. i drove down some pretty rutted roads after i put it on going 30-60 mph. it didn't move at all. I bought this stuff at wal-mart for $5 about 5 years ago. i've used it to hold CB's to my dash as well.

kinda bringing this one back but could you explain a bit more on using the regular grade gas (87)? I have a 98 4.6L GEMS motor and of course it gets horrible fuel mileage but saving money on fuel never sucks

Kind of weird but that Range Rover got better economy with regular gas compared with using premium. When I used premium it lost 2 mpg.

With my Disco I have the smaller 4.0. It runs better on premium and gets better mileage. But I think it has a lot to do with engine displacement.
