And as my saying says. I tore a whole in one new 35"SSR( sidewall 4" whole) tore out my pinion bearings, and blew 2 hi out of my transfer. I don't have a good pic of my runner yet, but will post one after the new mods get done. It'll have the centerlines and 35s from my truck. The truck will have 33s, hopefully someone will have a decent deal on some used ones when we get our money.:D

Here is one at Silver Lake Sand dunes in Mich. Kind of a poser pic. But I highly recommend this area if anyone ever goes there. It was a blast. This was the trip where my pinion bearings went out. Me and my bro ToyinAround.

Nice trailer, where did you get it and what did it cost you if you don't mind?................Did you get some color on the CJ7t or are you going to work it over with some catalyzed primer first?

The trailer didn't cost me a thing, I just took it out of my brother's yard on Saturday. :D

Seriously though he got it at Lone Peak Trailer Sales. I don't know what it cost him.

I bought one like this back in 1995:

Also at Lone Peak Trailers and it set me back about $1800.

Nothing on the CJ-7 yet. The primer goes on tomorrow and then the paint in the next few days.

Haven't been around for a while but thought I'd check back. Here's a few fairly recent ones of my trucks.

This one will be getting a new set of 37" MTRs soon

This one should be getting 4.88's, ARB's and a TRD supercharger before next spring. It is going to be a moderate wheeler and double as a tow rig for my other cruiser.

I'm guessing ya don't have the factory elec. lockers in the FJ80, eh? :(

Nope. No factory lockers. When we decided to buy it, it was in awesome shape and a screamin' deal so I settled for the fact it didn't have lockers knowing that I could add them later. It's been a cool truck.

Oh, I think I've also decided against the supercharger and using it as a tow rig. For the money, I can probably buy some older Fullsize truck with a bigass motor that will pull the other truck and trailer a little better.

Sounds like ya got a nice clean FJ80, so not having the lockers is not a big deal. I'm just biased since I'm running the HP FJ80 3rd member w/ elec. locker in my front 8" axle and dig it.
That supercharger is like $3500 isn't it? TRD should stand for Toyota Rich Dude (not bad for just making that up, eh? :D ). TRD stuff is cool, but thats alot of money, even for a supercharger. Yeah, I agree the fullsize is the ticket for a tow rig.

The e-lockers are cool but it way expensive to retro-fit them into a truck that didn't come with them. It's much more cost effective to go with ARB's if you want a selectable locker. Besides the carrier in an ARB is stronger than the factory one. Not that it matters a whole lot because the factory ones are pretty killer units.

The Superchargers for the 80 series cruisers (and for the V6 taco and V8 cruiser and Tundra) are all pretty spendy, it's more like $3800 just in parts for the supercharger for my '93. Typical install cost unless I do it myself would run in the ballpark of $5500 including the blower. No matter how you slice it, it's a heavy bag of change to drop. And on a truck as old as mine, you've got to thoroughly check out the cooling system, pull and clean the injectors, probably run a compression check, change to the Iridium plugs they use on the V8's and run a EGT (exhaust gas temp) guage. All of that can add up fast!

A guy in Colorado just installed a SC on a '93 and had a few cooling issues ect he didn't take care of and blew the motor with 36 miles on the SC. So, it's worth the time to do it right if you're gonna do it, it's just a matter of paying for it.

For me, if I'm not gonna tow with it, there's really no reason to have the SC so I think I'll just look for a cheap, solid tow rig that will hold the wife and kids and call it good.
