no the frame is fine but and the doors close just fine which is why i want to keep them and make them into half doors, but my pasenger side slider is bent up about a 1/4 inch so the doors rub on that

Here's a few pics of the aftermath of Seth's roll. Did anyone get it on video? If so, post it up on the OSRC trip report

Yeah some pics from who ever has them would be good, hows your rig doing it had some breakage didnt it?

It's good. No breakage, other than I can't put either driver's side doors on, compliments of course 2, and I blew a tire at the start of my 2nd rock cross run so I ran the whole race completely flat. But that was just from slamming the rim on the back side of the tower of doom and was an easy repair with the sledge hammer ;) I just need to pull the door pillar back out and straighten out the hinge so I can throw the doors back on. So pretty minor repairs.

I thought we did a hell of a job with the "body by forklift" repairs. That's a ton better than the "body by backhoe" method (only a few guys will know that story).

The look on your face as Craig was kicking out your windshield was priceless!

So yesterday i got the runner back from kengarff in westvalley and i did some more review of the damage and i defiantly cant save the top and the top half of the passenger doors so yes im cutting the roof and making half doors, and i will bob the back so it is flush with the back of the rear tires.

I cant wait to get working on it but right now things are cazy so it will wait

You should chop the top and replace it with an old removable top off a first gen 4runner. Mix a first gen with a 2nd gen... Would that be a cross breed? Or an inbreed?

X2!!! and have a soft top for the space between the windshield frame and the 1st gen top! or make it a T-top!

i dont know if i want to use a first gen top i like them and all but i also like the soft top look on the pick ups witha roll cage that i have seen but we will see when i get there i can go either way.

The only down side of the first gen top is i would need to remove it when wheeling so if i roll it doesnt get smashed

I've seen people run fj40 soft tops on their 1st gen runners. It went from behind the sunroof back to the roll bar. It actually looked factory. it was a cool look. That might be an option for ya.

This has always been a favorite of mine... It is a 90 4runner same 4runner in all the pics just a different paint job. Might give you some inspiration, or for the price of the tube I am sure you could find a blown 4runner and swap the cabs.

i like it except im going to keep all four doors and make half doors i think it will help keep the full body look. Your right though for the price of tube i could get a new body but then id roll again and end up cutting it off anyways so im sticking to the design you pictured above i really like the idea of a buggy/f-toy/half stock rig idea

and a foot lower :D

It looks like that's still street legal. Are you planning on green stickering it, or trying to keep it legal?

i dont know but the thought of having that cool of a rig and still being street legal is one sweet thing, i dont really see why it wouldnt be street legal, mud flaps, tires covered, bumpers front and rear, a full roll cage and lexan windshield. Can you think of a reason it wouldnt pass?
