a little off topic, but just wondering if any of you guys have gone to miller motorsports park and driven around to test out your vehicle? just wondering how you liked it, i have never driven off road, been a few times with friends, but once i get my blazer going it might be nice to test it out on a track instead of up in the mountains.

this is sounding fun!! If it is on sept. 10th however, I wont be able to make it.

Whatever date you decide, I would love to come! Even if it is riding shotgun with someone :)

I'd love to come to this as well, but I also can't make it on the 10th as I'll be in California for work. I will definitely show up if I can work something out.

OK guys its official, mark your calendar and be prepared to have a good time and learn. Cost is going to be $10/vehicle and that simply covers the park rental costs which is a major bargain! We are still hashing out the format but plan on a mix of class-room and on-trail style learning with a handful of different instructors. At the end of the class we'll open up the off-road park to you to enjoy and practice, it will be great to put some of your learning to the test.

We can accommodate up to 20 vehicles so start spreading the word amongst your friends and local 4x4 communities (feel free to cross-post). We will have an official announcement and sign-ups live over the weekend!

I'd like to participate, I am very experienced and would like to hear other people's views and ideas. I would also be willing to help with any instruction if needed. I would really like to get to know more people in the off road community.

My back ground is, I have been involved in off road all my life, I started out on atvs in the 80s and have been deeply involved in rock crawling for the last 10 years. I have been instrumental in introducing many people to the sport/hobby. I have a friend that I would like to get out there also and I will talk to him about this.

Either way I am In!

I won't be in contact with the real world this weekend so please consider me signed up.

OK folks, lets put pen to paper and make this thing a reality.

First and foremost... Tread Lightly. Tacoma or Skylinerider are you guys reading this? Would either (or both) of you be able to make it that weekend?

Bart, would love to have you help with a skill-set, technical driving perhaps? Spotter/driver communication? You tell me man, I know you would be great at any of them.

Who else feels qualified to handle a portion of the event. I'll cover recovery, starting with a sit down basics covering the equipment options and selection and then moving to recovery scenarios on a white board (calculating recovery modes) and then we'll set up some scenarios.

Who else?

I would like to have an agenda fleshed out this coming week so we can really start broadcasting this.
