Hey, just putting it out there, I'm bringing my Land Cruiser AND my fiance :) She grew up around east coast-style mudding, she loves this stuff.
I got some new chromoly junk in my front axle, I'm excited to play with it again.
To get more power out of an old 40, I'd suggest a built 383 stroker, 4-barrel Holley, and SM465/TH400. Dana 60's optional, I'm partial to Yota axles :D
You'd surprise a lot of Duramax's at stop lights....
I hope you got more of my 80! I did win 2nd place... :D
Which truck won 1st?
My faves (besides my own)- The white/rust SOA 60, turbo HZJ70, and the prerunner Toyota pickup.
So I'm getting married in a few months (YAY! :greg:) but I'm not the greatest idea...thinker...upper?
Thing is, we're not gonna have a whole lot of money. What have you guys heard/done that's fun and memorable but inexpensive?
I have over 1000 just in my front axle. Another 1000 or so in the sound system. Probably another 1000 in suspension. 960 on exhaust. 350 in the OBA, 400 on the rear locker, 260 on GPS (two units)...etc...
I'd say at least $6000.
EDIT: Change of plans. Not going to happen until next week. Sorry.
The last remaining part I need for my front axle (front diff) is arriving this week. I'd like to rebuild the axle this coming Saturday, but I'm gonna need some help. I'd like to do a run on Snakes afterwards.
Quick and dirty...
Close to 270K on my 91 Land Cruiser. Original motor and tranny (original ATF :eek2::ugh:), never rebuilt. Original birfs had 265k. They weren't broken, but were getting pretty trashed. I replaced them with chromoly units.
No pic. Sorry.
You talkin' about Lee's Runner? His is the black one with DC stickers and a custom tube front bumper... Those were my old stock front springs. :D
Just to echo what Ben said about the saggy springs, FJ80 springs will give a good amount of lift for any 4Runner. Either you have seriously worn-out...
