I have a 2000 toyata tacoma extra cab. Everything was painted with black raptor raptor liner. I have most of the interior parts, seats included. It doesn't have the dash. It will come with the hood and fenders, stock headlights. I have a grill for it but it was cut to fit with the winch...
So is this run still a go? I wouldn't mind running greenday. I haven't ran it yet but have heard it is a fun trail.. Let me know where to meet. I am leaving later today to head down. I will check back before we leave To see if everyone is still planning on it.
I have only taken mine out with the 3link once since finished.. I really liked mine with the leafs in the front and 4 link in the rear. But it had it's flaws at the same time.. I am toying with the idea of building what you have with this rig. But running the 3.4 motor.
we will see what...
Mine Drove like a dream with leaf springs and 35" tires.. Now with the 4link in the rear and new 3link in the front I am adding a swaybar to help with how soft the suspension is.
Thanks.
I don't have a build thread.. All I have is a bunch of photos in order of the transformation of the truck. It's on my facebook..
It is a waggy 44. I sometimes wish I had gone with something else.
Here is a couple of mine.
Bought it rolled
Looked like this when I bought it.
A lot of hard work has gotten it this far
Decided to change the Front
Last trip out. This is the most recent picture I have of it.
My rear is just some stock coils out of a jeep. as for the 4" springs you should flex fine. the springs were designed for your truck.. but i think that if you pulled a couple leafs out of yours they would flex even more than they do now, 5" is way to tall for these trucks it think. you would...
I never got any trouble for my 4 link it was fine on the road to. I could take it on the freeway with out any worries. Now with the 3 link up front i am thinking i need a swaybar. but It is still registered.. another thing to consider is with a 4 link you are going to have to move your gas tank..
well at the time when I installed them I moved the axle forward anyways so i wouldn't know. but I can messure them for you. I took 2 leafs out of them when i installed them to get it lower. they flexed great. this is with the allpro springs and some leafs in the rear for a s10 blazer i had...
I have a set of allpro 4" spring from the front of mine that flex great if you are looking for a set. What make's you not want to get some chevy 63"s springs? you would have plenty of flex.
