Hey Mitch,

Looking at these last two photos I have some questions for ya. First, it looks like your front axle needs to be moved forward due to the front spring arc. Is the front spring supposed to have a bit of an arc? Second, What is that aluminum looking puck doing under the front spring? Is that some sort of a spacer giving the truck a little bit of lift or a level? If so I believe that spacer is supposed to be on top of the front spring not under.

Good questions.
The alum pucks are a leveling puck. There are 3 cinds..this cind and the cind you mentioned or get longer coils. .

Ford has the coils mounted cinda on a angle..stock there perfect but with any lift they will start to do that unless you have radius arm drop brackets Cus the arms are not adjustable. .

Big day yesterday.. I got the parts for the powersteering pump and quickly clearanced the bracket as needed and installed the pump and ran the lines and made a bracket for the reservoir...I was hoping to mount it on top on the alt but it wouldn't clear the hood so I made two 3/8" spacers and mounted it on the bottom..

I fired up the truck and started bleeding the system...and apart from almost ripping my steering box in half everything went grate and not a single leak.

This pump is on the low pressure side and I think I'm going to take the valve out and tweak it for more pressure...it's a lot better then my old pump but with the brakes on I still can't really turn the wheels...just barly let off and it's fine..so we will see..

Just driving around the back yard I can tell these axles where so worth the swap!
The ride is 500 times better (cinda bouncy tho...I need front shocks lol)

And the turning is simply amazing...I'm in love!
Hahaha.

I had to cut up my UMP intake even more cus the reservoir and it couldn't get along...I tried to paint the intake white but it didn't work out to good...I got impatient and put it on before the paint fully cured...so I got to re dew that lol

Today my buddy Sean is coming over to help put the bed back on and on Monday it's going over to to get shocks and a alignment

We got the bed put on and actually bolted the bed down completely for the first time sense I owned it lol (had clips missing)
Got it all done and took her for a spin!
I love these axles so much!!!
It's so nice to be able to maneuver around my yard without making a 7 point turn lol

Driving down the road I heard something odd...(like something rubbing) I came back home and started looking around at stuff and spinning the tires but nothing...and it's only around 30-40mph (have not gone faster then 45mph) not sure what it could be???come to think of it I never checked the gear oil so I better do that tomorrow lol

Well the ride to les schwab was pretty entertaining lol no front shocks and every bump the front end bounced more and more lol

put front shocks on and did the alignment... Everyone was blown away how much work I put in the truck and after spending a hr explaining everything to most of the guys working there what all I have done to it..they finally got it done. Lol

the steering box is a little loose (hole lot better then my other one!) but drives straight and rides like a caddie.brakes are simply amazing.
Got on the freeway and even at 80mph it's straight and no death wobble or anything...

now the trip on the freeway made my funny noise go away but my abs light kicked on...not sure what that's about but if that's my only problem I did pretty dang good lol

overall I love this swap and would do it again in a hart beat.

Finally found a set of seats that are in good shape.
I'm going to get the head liner the seats came out of but for right now I'll just make a plastic cover to cover up the hole from the old seatbelt mount.

Bolted right in no prob :)

Well, this weekend was a disaster.

Wife is super sick, so I have been taking care of her when needed. .
And the truck just fought me every chance it could...

So, as you may remember in my older post's that my steering box is super loose and the adjuster is cranked way up...

So I found a super low mileage box off a 09 f250 for $20.00 and this weekend set about swapping it in the truck...now, I knew the boxes where different strength wise and looks...but in my endeavors I found a bit more is different. .

So here is a little build thread on what I needed to do too get this box to work.

First off, the shafts are different. .but luckily the bolt holes are the same so just swapped them out and welded the nuts on the bolt so they will never back off.. (be sure to put this on the way it came off or your steering wheel will be upside down.....)

Next was the return lines are not the same...the threads are longer on the newer box then the 99-07

Old,99-07

Then the grate part that really screwed me..

The bolt pattern is not the same as 99-07 boxes. .it's about a 1/8" off or so...2 of the holes will line up but the 3rd witch ever one it is, will be off...On my last box one of the treads was stripped, so I ran a 7/16" grade-8 bolt through it & worked fine so I did the same thing to fix this problem. .
Need to replace a split return line that made one heck of a mess in the motor compartment before I can take it on a drive...

Next upgrade is I scored a bed gate.
Installation was easy and done in about 20 mins.
Just drilled 7 holes pretty much. .
With the tail light out you can reach behind and put a nut on the back for the pivot bolt. .
Line up the gate, mark your holes, dill, paint, (for rust prevention) and in joy.

I love this thing cus it folds out of the way, locks in ether position so it won't bounce all over the place.

Well, I got sick of the wife complaining about how she can't get in my truck..

So I was going to make some steps out of tube but found this set for pretty cheap a wile back..
20141127_163901_zpsc7a11007.jpg

These came off a crew cab short bed and wound up cutting the bracket's off and moving them around...fitment wise I think it looks okay...but I dunno if this looks good or not...
