No. I plan on spectating the event.

I got some machining done last knight. I finished the front drive line and parts for carrier bearing.

14 bolt pinion and 1410 yoke turned down to fit into carrier bearing

Machined a new bearing housing since the factor pillow block bearing is cast iron and eventually explodes.

I still need to fit the end yoke. I took the front drive line i made and put it on the rear and then made the carrier shaft to length so i Will have same length drive lines F/R all 1410. Thats 2" 1/4 wall dom

I ordered some parts and did a few little things that i have been putting off.
I got the long side rear axle shaft from yukon as one of their cut to length deals and had the short side made from dutchman. I also ordered the other 2 coilovers.
I finished the other long drive line and carrier drive line and got it mounted.
Found a missing cone washer for the king pin so i could align and build the other steering link. I also drilled out the broken grease zerts on the bottom caps and weld some .25 wall tube to them.
I went to the vatozone 3 time and orileys 2 times for the rear brake parts and got them installed.
Ill be able to pick up my argon tank tomorrow and finish welding up the headers.

That kingpin zerk protector is a good idea. I should try that. Way too windy today or i would have done something on mine. Are you not having a bushing on your carrier bearing?

Do the anti coning tabs on the tmi rings serve dual purpose to center the outer bead on the rim? I'm torn between theirs and mayhem metal fab.

Im going to say no, because the beadlock bolt holes wouldn't be useable if the tire hits the anti coning tabs.

As far as i can tell they just serve the anti coning purposes. I just use my calibrated eye ball as far as centering for this trailer queen. linky> http://totalmetalinnovations.com/index.php?main_page=page&id=7

I may have welded my side gears in a little cockeyed wich was making me fight sliding in the axle shaft so on impulse i ordered a spool for the 14b. It showed up and i had it in with in the hour and my axle shaft slid right in. still waiting on the short side so i can assemble the rear axle complete.

I also got my argon bottle back and spent 5hrs tig welding the headers. Any other recommendation for ceramic coating? Mitch suggested Jet-Hot.

I didn't even look past the hardware holes. DOH! Self centering is a big deal for me so I think TMI is off the list for me. Buggy is looking great. Nice welds!
