So the tasks for today are to redo the front oil pump, I think I may have to take the timing cover out as well and check the timing. Is there anyone in the area that's willing to lend a hand? I am not to fond of engine work. Suspension, steering drive train but when it comes to stuff like this I am a noob. My number is 801-473-1281 if you wanna come help.

Got looking at it and I can't see how it could of messed up timing so I must of done something wrong somewhere else in the process

Well I got it all figured out, I did 2 things wrong.
1. I pinched the o ring and it was jammed in the gears, second time around I used some black rtv in a couple places to hold it in.
2. I didn't prime the pump, there is a bolt on top of the pump that you have to fill with oil so it's not turning air, after doing these things all was swell, fired it up And it threw out a little white smoke but once it was all warmed up it was good to go agian. Tomorrows task is to wire my window switch and install my cb.

i got my sliders don't today, i am not 100& thrilled on how they came out, little short on the back end but that's soon to be changed, i am thinking of adding a piece of square tube to the end and making it 4" so it will stick out an extra inch so a person can climb into the back without to much effort. so i will be going from 3" x1 on the main part to 4"x1 on the extension.

It's gonna be cut off. It was there when I bought it, my guess is that te po didn't want dirt in the slip.

So my trucks real maiden voyage is tomorrow. I've done a few things since my last update. I pIckes up a new cb, it's a cobra ultra 3, in the process of installing it in a clean almost factory manner. I picked up a 35" spare tire, it's an mtr. Last but not least I traded my amp for a 4 runner top and tailgate, I am going to take my current top which has a few really good sized cracks in it and cut that into a half cab right behind the sliding windows.
Small Wireing rats nest behind radio, the cb nearly fits back there
And the new top that will be painted black.
I will post some final pics of the ch when it's all done

Finnally got my cb in.
Looks super clean, you can still hear it fine.
Has a pretty bright screen.
Easy access to the mic
While I was throwing my cb back together I had my dad come over and look at how my rear window is wired. We quickly figured out all I will need is a dpdt switch, double push double throw, and that should solve all my problems. I figure I should fuse the system while I am at it too. For now all my mods will be little but as soon as summer hits the big mods are gonna come flying in.

went wheeling monday, did pretty good here are a few shots, i really need lockers and new tires....
found me a nice rut, thought i was gonna lay it over on its side, when i slipped back trying to get out of the muck
flex...ish need to lower my front bump stops.
one of the yotas in out group flooded its engine in this puddle, had to tow him all the way home. we pulled the plugs but even then we couldnt get all the water out....stupid air Hungary v6's with cold air intakes

Yeup. I am thinking I am gonna start piling parts soon.
My shopping list for the summer goes but not in this order
1.Lockers
2.new 35"s
3. Hy steer but to do that I need to do an ifs box swap so add that in too
4 new front bumper one that hopefully matches the rear, so some kind of plate style with a winch spot.
5. 4.7"s in the t case
6. Duals
If I get a chance at lunch tomorrow these are gone go on. Gonna weld some bolts to the frame to hold them on, they are bump stops from an extera.

last time i took the yota out wheeling i noticed a very loud clicking sound when turning, i got looking at it today and with the hubs locked in and in 2wd it does not make this clicking noise when turning, but as soon as its in 4wd it makes this clicking sound, i thought it was a broken birf but now i am not sure since it doesnt do it in 2wd, anyone have any idea's on what this would be?
