Thanks. I can't wait to drive it. I'm trying to get some stuff knocked out. I wrote out a list on my garage refrigerator of things to finish. It works good as dry erase board. LOL. I have about 10 items left. The biggest being exhaust system fabrication. Which I should be able to knock out this week.

I also have a plan to make a centered rear axle for this out of 2 land rover rear axles. That way I won't have such a screwed up offset. But that will be a project for later this year. I want to spend some time driving this thing.

its almost been 2 years of work. But its also been a partial restoration on the body and frame. Just cleaning everything up and fixing any rust or other issues. Maybe next year I can have it repainted.

I got the exhaust about half way done. It took a couple hours to get this far. But I think it came out pretty good.

I ran out of shielding gas so I had to stop.

I threw a belt on the engine so i could run the water pump and alternator. Its running pretty good. Although its pretty smokey. Im not sure if that's because it sat for about 10 years before I bought it. But it seems to idle and rev pretty good. I got it up to temperature. The electric fan kick on just fine. Alternator seems to be charging. So I only have a few more things to do.

Getting excited. My goal is to be driving it by the end of the month.

Here's a quick video. If anyone has some ideas as to why its smoking, let me know.

Injector pump is dead. It won't start or run anymore. LOL. Well I'll be pulling the pump and getting it rebuilt next week. No wonder it was always so hard to start and running so smokey. Any Baker's diesel injection in Ogden can rebuild it. They give me a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty on it.

So, two steps forward, one step back.

I sprayed some MAF cleaner in it today and it fired right up. So I dropped it off the casters and drove it around the block. It's outside for the first time in over a year.

I guess not. But I bought a used one off ebay for $200. Its off a CUCV truck. So those give you a bit more power. I'll clean it up and slap it in. I need to order some front springs. My front is about an 1.5" shorter than the back. Then my driveshaft won't be so close to my starter. It was fun. It has a lot of power and is noisy as hell.

I got the "new" injector pump. It out of 3/4 ton GMC military CUCV truck. I pulled the old one out already. Picked up some new intake gaskets and started putting it back together. I may advance the pump a little touch.

I got the old girl all back together last night. It took a little work to get the air out of the system. But once it finally fired it ran much quieter than last time.

It was about 30 degrees last night when I tried. So it didn't want to run too bad.

Also ordered a lift kit. So I should be driving this pretty soon.

My list of things to finish. I am going to work on atleast 3 per day until it's done.

I also got the back half of the exhaust finished up today.

Sounds really nice. Sounds like a healthy v8 should.
