I have a PulPall and haven't used it much at all, plan to play with it soon though and do some recovery practice. I had read somewhere (long ago) that one guy attached a short length of steel cable (I'm sure you could use 6-8' of synthetic too) to the backside of the plow so you could hook to it once out and pull it out backwards, the way it went in.

Or you can pull the front bumper right up to it and winch it up/out. A few YT vids shows that.
I've been watching the Alaska off-road warriors episodes. Aside from the drama how many T.V.shows have winching out of the mud. War rig builds his own from scrap steel after watching super jeep use his pullpal .
