A fiberglass tub is easy to remove if you're demo-ing the room. They're lightweight and easy to cut. A DIYer could do a bathroom job, especially if you did a lot of research and asked questions.

As far as waterproofing, I'm a fan of the Kerdi mat by Schluter System. It's the only system (that I've found) that's rated for steam, which means a plain old shower isn't going penetrate, cause mold, etc. And, tile can be set on it right after it's applied.

With a roll on, like RedGard, which I used to use on jobs - years back- it always required two coats. That was time a lot of people didn't want to spend, so they'd roll one and do finish work. Little did they know that there was little, if any, protection beyond the waterproofing substrate. I've seen this quite a bit on remodels.

Yeah...I was torn on which one to use...but I decided on the RedGard....I did 2 coats...maybe even 3, I don't recall. In some of the areas where there was more gap I CAKED it in....I also used the Kerdi strips (same as mat, only 6" wide) in the corners as extra protection.

I've always wanted to try and sound deaden and insulate my YJ top a little bit so I figured I better get to it now that it's gtting cold. I put some cheap dynamat style sound deadener on it, and added some rad LED dome lights, and stuck on some foam backed headliner material with spray adhesive. The existing incandescent dome light at the back will be replaced with an LED as well.

Details/link for those rad LED dome lights? I dig 'em!

Another project... maybe I'll do an OT build thread on this.

1930 Ford Chassis and a 26 T Roadster. It'll get hopped up a bit and be a late 1930's era build. Pretty much a bolt-together project. I need a a few odds and ends but pretty much have all the parts (plus some) to get it going.

Yes, build thread PLEASE!! I hope you're going to leave that patina and not paint it...? It's perfect!

I started a Frankenstein Dodge Modified build several years ago, sold it for CHEAP after getting laid off... fortunatley it went to another RME member and he finished it and got it on the road! - http://www.rme4x4.com/showthread.php?36968-Hot-Rod-parts-off-to-be-sandblasted!

They aren't very bright. They're not intended to illuminate the ground, just give the look of some modern euro car or some crap. 2 of them should be about perfect for a nice bright full coverage dome light, including the cargo area. They're probably like 350-400 lumens each.

I helped setup my Mom's tree at the Festival of trees. What a cool way to raise money for charity. Our tree is in P-06 for anyone attending.

Very cool! My son is doing his eagle project at the Festival of Trees. He is in charge of the pick up, set up, take down and return of all the stands in the Quilt Block. We have spent many hours there this week.
I agree that it is a great way to find raise for the hospital. If you get the chance, it is well worth stopping by to see all amazing trees, wreaths, quilts and gingerbread houses people have donated.

Newest project is a 95 suzuki sidekick jlx for the wife to drive instead of her dodge neon. Needs some work but I kind of like that we will still have a suzuki once I get rid of my sidekick.

Needs 2 inside door handles, tires, drivers mirror insert, cable to button on auto trans handle to release from park, and possibly trans as the current trans doesnt shift well from first to second and you have to let off the gas and let the rpms down for it to shift. Also going to get a full led treatment from gauge cluster, dome, maplights, markers, brakes, 15" spot light bar in bumper.

Just installed led lighting under our cabinets. Just waiting on the wall plug with switch to come today. Possibly thinking of using some in our theater room with a dimmer now.
