The garage may never be the same
Please don't show my wife that... it's beautiful, but I don't need another project.
My wife is already on this track and wants this done over the summer.

Previous home owner had a mix of weeds and lava rock here. Been scooping for days and have filled my trash can a few times to the point I can barely move it. Picked up some scrap strap from my supplier to use as edging and pounded it in today. Tack welded it all together too to stay in place.

Edit: before photo added

The wife said we need to have a shop-warming party. Sounds like my kind of party!

We should kidnap this rig and break in your shop :D

My wife wanted the garage door to be updated, since its an odd size replacing the door was prohibitively expensive. I should have gotten a before picture, but the door was just an off-white.

This was kinda a neat process. You apply a light wood colored based coat, I used "Fine Sand" with a crappy old brush with stiff bristles to leave a bit of graining effect. Then you use a gel stain over the top of it and it creates this look. I'm rather pleased with how it turned out.

Let's try this again.

I spent the weekend at our cabin in Bear Lake putting up a new sign I had made from Etsy. We rent this cabin on AirBnb when we aren't using it, hence the name.
I need to add 2 more decorative angle brackets because, due to the height the T's I bought for the bottom wouldn't work out.

Apparently when you try and insert the images, the code is stuck, but it wont' show up in the edit option to delete, so the post continued to look like that.

here are the images uploaded to RME.20240526_200024.jpg20240527_111015.jpg

Yes, that’s the case about half the time with ol’ Pikey. We need geek squad to show him how to post pics on RME
I'm used to the old way of linking the pics from Google Photos to other forums....doing [ img ]URL[ /img ] rarely did I have issues until the last 2 years or so. I don't know if Google changed it's permission and url linking ability, or if newer forum software doesn't work with that. I just need to remember to do the "Attach file" in the forum, but then I don't like the thumbnail and not the full image in a post.
