Agree completely with that. My 48 chevy and 78 subaru where easy to work on. Not so now with all the computers and technical junk.

It is also scarry to realize that vehicles built when I was in high school are now classics to many.

22 yrs old 1957 CJ-5
26 yrs old 1973 CJ-5
28 yrs old 1978 CJ-7 (current project!)

I'll be lucky to be wheeling something from the 90's by the time I die!:rofl:

that gives me another thought (sorry I think too much)...how many of the older rigs being used where purchased and started being wheeled new or fairly new and then just kept (as appoesed to buying it older).....more useless food for thought.

I've only bought two vehicles with less than 50K on them in my life. (one we still have---'96 ZJ at 125K) My XJ I bought with about 120K on it and ran it to 185K.
