You can't make this crap up..... So you're telling me that thousands of packed people are okay and won't spread.... but people in a bar are "really not good, really not good."

There is little evidence that the protests that erupted after George Floyd’s death caused a significant increase in U.S. coronavirus infections, according to public health experts.
If the protests had driven an explosion in cases, experts say, the jumps would have started to become apparent within two weeks — and perhaps as early as five days. But that didn’t happen in many cities with the largest protests, including New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, and Washington, D.C.
In what’s considered the first systematic look at the question, a team of economists determined that only one of 13 cities involved in the earliest wave of protests after Memorial Day had an increase that would fit the pattern.

I think the biggest take away....which has been said quite often....being outside REALLY reduces the risk. Being in a confined bar with 100's of others is definitely going to increase your risk....not to mention the confined spaces and loud talking/heavy breathing that comes with drinking.
Now I don't believe that protests didn't cause some....but I am pretty sure the bars and close INDOOR contact caused many more.

I don't buy it either, I spend 8 hours a day locked in a small aluminum tube with up to 11 people per flight 12 flights a day. I don't wear a mask while flying because I have to talk on the radio. Yet i'm still alive. The amount of people I have mouth breathing behind me with no barrier if you listen to the news I should be dead 10x over.

i don’t deny that is real AT ALL. Simply saying it’s being overplayed and used as a political tool. If it’s bad it’s bad if it’s not it’s not. It can’t be okay for one group of people to assemble but not another. Just saying wake up stop being a sheep

That actually goes both ways. I don't recall you making specific assertations so this is not specifically directed at you. You can't deny that the hatred for Trump actually does affect the coverage and the commentary on just about any topic. It is extremely rare if it ever occurs that Trump might get credit from the mainstream media for anything.

Funny...my friend who is an MD doesnt discount the merits of the drug..Cant say if it is the perfect drug but far from his research and reading of results says it can be used safely.
Should we have a discussion of the dangers of Prednisone.....a commonly used steroid that is shown to have benefits to those in respiratory distress.......or does that fit my political position also?
