Addicted's 96' 4runner using TG Tacoma SAS kit

Do you keep the rear shock locations the same on the underside of the 4Runner, or make new mounts? Those things are such a pain it would be worth it to move them, even at stock height.

Getting really close. Duals are in. Just need to cut holes for shifters.

Rear axle is in place and disc brake kit is on. We set the pinion angle today and will be dropping off drive shafts later today. Wheels are supposed to ship this week too. Hopefully it will be moving soon.

Well, she is driving. Wheels showed up yesterday and its out of the shop. We just need to finish up a few little things. FWIW, this thing is tall. Frame height at 28.25" when it left. Hoping that will settle at least 2" over the next couple weeks.

Next is sliders and a rear bumper.

those were the 3" springs? Did you use the HD springs or the regular 3" springs? I hope it settles quite a bit, that thing's a monster truck. Excellent work, that's a beauty.

Yes, 3" HD springs. It looks deceiving without the rear bumper and sliders on it. Unfortunately this is the issue with leaf sprung Tacomas and 3rd gens. They end up tall. It should settle 2+ inches though.

This thing looks sweet. Did you shave the bottom of the 3rd members so there wouldn't be a lip hanging down past the housing?

I like being a little tall vs being a little low. I don't like dragging my belly over obstacles.

Yes, we shaved each diff. The rig will settle. With a winch, HD sliders, and rear tire carrier, I expect the frame height to land around 25". My old rig was 22.5", but was honestly almost too low.

Right now it's at 28"
