I guess it would be smarter to go with a 1UZ-fe?

Actually, I'm thinking I'll just swap in the 1.4L engine from my Cruze....after all it's turbo so I can get more power if I need it.

Tyler, do you have a bender or are you going to miter everything ;)

I thought about mitering everything, but I actually have decided to just use cast iron plumbers pipe. I figure that way if anything gets bent or damaged, I can just carry some spare pipe that's threaded already and throw it in...good as new ya know?

Don't forget the pipe dope to keep the threads happy. Should help minimize the risk of cross threading and help seal the joint when you get in an intense pit repair.

If you're using pipe dope you might as well use your cage as your fuel cell. Just be careful to not replace a piece of pipe while the cage is full. Don't want to lose all your fuel on the trail.

That's an excellent idea. Then I could just run short fuel lines right from the engine bay tubes.

So some of you may enjoy this....it makes sense as to why I have a lot of "bounce" in the rear, but it still seems to perform well anyway. I've always been curious where the ZJ stood in terms of the suspension geometry with all the changes that I've made to it....just measured it all up and put it into the calc tonight.

Alright so I started on the chassis yesterday. I'm hoping to be done by Thanksgiving.....at least have the whole chassis tacked together but we'll see. I'm in no real rush.

Got a bit more work done tonight.

Can't believe I didn't purchase this for the other cages I've done. $40 well spent.

My current welder of choice is the Ready Welder.....mainly because the Lincoln is at my brother's house currently. Plus I'm only tack-welding everything right now. I'll MIG it when all is said and done.
