still in the air, I want to keep it in the front I need to get the motor in the permanently and see if I can fit a big enough radiator in there

If it's of any help, my old buggy with the 4.3 ran (and still runs) a 19x22 AL radiator with no overheating as long as the fan was functioning. :) I never ran that fan on high speed, either...only low. (Taurus fan)

We ran a similar set up, if you are talking rear mounted. :)

No issues with fan working... :D

Reminds me of that buggy that was down at WOTR that was for sale. Narrowed Geo Tracker/Sidekick hood.

That is good to know I really want to keep it a front radiator but as small as I am trying to keep the front end I am not sure it will be happening...

Yep, I agree. That rig of mine had the rad in the front....liked it.

I'm digging that look! Agreed on front rad. I love it way more than my previous rear radiator.

The hood I am using is the exact same hood, I know that buggy all to well I even put that rig on its lid a time or two, before bert owned it .. :D

Yeah that was a sick rig! He has some issues with his compressor when he was on the trail with us, but got it fixed that night for the next day.

Thanks Shane, After sitting in the buggy with that hood setup I feel like I can see everything. I am really glad I went this route.

It's upsetting that you live in Japan cause I'd like to see this thing. Maybe I'll have to plan a road trip at some point ;)

I spent a few hours in the shop on saturday and sunday, I ended up getting the drivetrain completely mounted. After everything was said and done, the motor ended up sitting back about 8-10" further than I originally planned on, That leaves me with tons of room in the front for fun activities. I also got the front frame rails bent up, notched and welded in.

So this motor came out of a truck that had a manual trans, i rounded up a flexplate but I dont have the bolts. Are flex plate bolts anything special or can I just run grade 8 bolts?

I dont know how I screwed up such an easy bend when making my front frame rails one piece but I had to take 3" out of the center and Internally sleeve it and weld it back together.... I would have loved to have it one piece but with the sleeve in there I dont think it will ever fail
