Deep down I hope you find the perfect GX.. I think it would be really cool to see one on the trail. So different yet so familiar at the same time

My ideal rig (aside from a tacoma) would be a 2005+ sport with the jbl sound system and no sunroof. Any color but black or blue.

Are 2" lifts available for the Lexus? One just passed me, it looks to be a bit lower than the 4 runners. Never know when you'll catch inchitis and want a little more height as your needs change.

the lexus has an adjustable suspension height as well as adjustable shock firmness (controlled from inside the vehicle). There are lots of lift options since it shares its suspension with the 4runners and FJs.

The search is over (again). It was barely within my budget, but I love it. It's even the color I wanted.

Wolf! Wolf!

Haha, no leg pulling this time, I promise. It's in my driveway right now. The engine bay is super clean but the frame is rusty along all the welds. The front knuckles are rusty too.

It's gotta be one of 5 vehicles. It's a 2005.

Here she is. 2005 limited, 98k miles, galactic grey mica with every option. Leather, heated seats, JBL stereo, Nav, DVD, back up camera, the works. I love it. It only had to downshift once going up point of the mountain @ 70 mph. It never went above 3k rpm, and it rides so smooth. I'll have to see if it has the XREAS tomorrow. It even has the tires I love. The wheels aren't my favorite, but they do what they're supposed to. I plan on cleaning up the rusty frame bits and painting it to prevent more rust in the future.

I'd probably rather not have the rear DVD player as it hangs down a bit, but it wasn't a deal-breaker.

No. I haven't driven enough v8 4runners to tell the difference. It's got more options and it's nicer than the 2006 gx470 I was looking at. It's been taken care of and it does feel peppier than the lexus at the cost of more road noise.

I think I'd like to do some sort of platform in the back, but for now I'll worry about getting it registered.

Thanks. I'm very happy. I know it's early to say, but I think I'm going to like this as much as a tacoma (not that it matters anyway, I blew my tacoma fund on this rig).
