    tire balancing with airsoft bb's

A friend uses windshield washer fluid (winter blend so it won't freeze). He removed the valve stem core and poured it right into his 39.5" TSLs. Works great. He said it was better that the lead shot he ran before.

05 Grand Cherokee Service Electric Brake System - Won't Start

Got it figured out. Ended up being a battery issue (not enough juice). Replaced the battery and it fired up. So far so good. Got to love the computer controlled BS. This is why I like my simple little XJ.

05 Grand Cherokee Service Electric Brake System - Won't Start

My wife was at the store the other day when her 05 Grand Cherokee would not restart. The Jeep is an 05 Grand Cherokee with a 3.7L V6, automatic, and all wheel drive, and 52000 miles. This is a slightly modified street Jeep. It was fine earlier then just would not even crank. There is a click...

setting up an auto for rock crawling

Power brake it. Hold the brake with the left foot throttle with the right. Also, bumping seems to work best for me with a little less tire pressure. I run about 7 to 12 psi offroad (no beadlocks).

    Ogden area June 18, 19, or 20

Thanks for the input. My buddy blew the t-case in his XJ about 30 miles from Ogden on Friday evening. We spent saturady and part of sunday finding parts, rebuilding, and re-installing the t-case. Wheeled Sunday from Liberty Mantua. Great time, nothing too technical though.

    Ogden area June 18, 19, or 20

My firend just returned from deployment in Kuwait and is driving his XJ to UT to visit. He would like to hit a trail or two while in Ogden this weekend. Meanwhile I have been busting my butt to get my XJ back together for this trip. Any suggestions on where to go? We are both well equipped...

    Jeep Cherokee help

How is your catalytic converter? May need a 3 lb hammer massage to clean the plates up. I am not sure that the CPS is the cause. My experience with jeep engines is when the CPS is bad, the truck won't start. CPS can be a pain to change as well.

Best fix/upgrade for the jeep death wobble.

Skyjacker all the way. Relocates the trackbar to the steering stabilizer location. No more binding the trackbar against the mount on down travel. Easy install too, just need a drill and basic hand tools.

where to get a good buy on a welder

Does anyone sell refurbished machines? You can usually get a pretty sweet deal on refurbished machines at welding supply shops and many offer at least a 30 day warranty on refurbished equipment.

    Material for sliders?

I used 3/16" wall 2x4 rectangular tubing on my XJ with two legs back to the unibody. I also added 1/4" 2x2 angle between the legs to bolt/weld to the floor and pinch weld. This works great and has stood up to a ton of abuse. Next time I'll put the sliders on before beating up the rockers!

could use some help here; talkin' anti-sway bars

I have been looking at building one for the front of my XJ. I found this website for builder parts. http://www.1speedway.com/Swaybars.htm Now I need to learn how to calculate the torsion bar rate. Anyone know how to calculate this? Has anyone else built one for an XJ?

    help with dana 30

Did you put 2 seals in at the carrier? If not, pull the carrier and install the longside seal. They are just standard D30 seals. Also, be very careful inserting the shafts. Be extra careful if your new shafts have a sharp edge still.

    Jeep skyjacker ?

This is a great product. I run the Skyjacker trackbar on my XJ. Make sure to get the brace/steering stabilizer braket when you order. I ordered mine from Quadratec.

    Retread Tires

Retread are only as good as the casing that is being retreaded. Treadwright is a pretty good retreader and have good inspection standards for their casing. They also have a good, modern facility in Edgemont, SD. I have been to their facility and was impressed (my Dad used to be in the retread...
