Sometimes detonation can't quite be heard.

    turbo+carb

That 10 psi stuff is a bunch of horse shiznit. Double your horsepower!!?? I'd be turboing everything. Every variable on your motor would have to be perfect; fuel, air, enough spark, and an unbelievably efficient intercooler. In building a turbo setup you might be getting into more than you...

    Power Steering woes...

Had the exact same problem with my saginaw pump. Could get it to hold for a little while, but didn't last. And it was a very tight fit! I put some JB weld on it. Never slipped again. Of course I never tried to take the pulley back off. But I didn't care, I just needed it too hold.

    Quick! Beadlock tightening question

I don't mean to bring up dead and old threads, but I just found this on Rockstomper: Torque spec for beadlock bolts is recommended at 5-10 ft-lb and maximum 20 ft-lb. Overtorquing our beadlocks will cause the outer ring to "cone" inward slightly. Torqued to 10 ft-lb, we have had excellent...

    New topic: Boggers

I've got some almost brand new 33X14 Super Swamper Boggers. Has anybody had experience with them on the rocks? Can you get them to flex at all. I think I'd be worried about chunks coming off. What's your guys' thoughts?

I sold the bronco, but have a new toy.

It's saving me about $300 a month because I traded in another truck for the jeep. I had to sell the bronco for money down. And there was just no place to drive the bronco in Illinois. At least I can make the jeep a daily driver.

    Who has the "best project"

I just got the bed off this afternoon, so maybe next year's calendar! It's gonna be my tow rig so how about some Moab shots next spring?

    I need snow pics.

Don't know that I could do much better than that! I'm much better with a grinder and torch over a keyboard and mouse.

    Who has the "best project"

Besides my new TJ here's my latest project, a 76 F250. It's getting frame up resto, custom flatbed, I'm still trying to decide how I'm going to lift it. Probably not calendar material, but here it is:

    Anyone wheel with Thornbirds?

I hear ya. I've always gone with mud terrains, but I figured if I ran some beadlocks I could drop my pressure down to.....0, and it might work.:D

    Anyone wheel with Thornbirds?

My new ride has 33X14 Super Swamper Thornbirds. They're a little too wide for my taste and are awful driving on the street. But I'm tossing the idea around of setting them up on some beadlocks just for wheeling. Anybody have some input on this? I'm trying to save myself some money right now...

I sold the bronco, but have a new toy.

Already has 4.5 inches of lift, 1 inch body, AGR steering box, tailshaft kit, and 14" ghetto swampers baby! (those gotta go asap!)
