Yes, they do make 35 spline axles for 44. And yes you do have to upgrade to a 35 spline carrier. If you are gonna build up a 44, this would be the way to do it. If your lookin to go with a locker, might as well go with a 35 spline and these 35 spline chromo axles. Alloy USA will run you right...

Like the title says, I have brand new in the box Ten Factory 4140 chromoly 35 spline upgrade axles for rear D44. Kit is for 87' to 06' YJ/TJ/XJ. Axles are drilled for 5x4.5 or 5x5 bolt patterns, come with new seals, bearings, studs. Axles cost $312.99 new at 4WD...

For sure! :laughing: Alot of wives must rest their foot on the pedal. Like I said before, I hear it's a pretty common problem. Clutch is still in great shape. Just figure I'll change it out while doing the TOB.

Ours has 38K. Throwout bearing started making noise about 500 miles ago. Hopefully yours doesn't do it, but I hear the TOB going out between 35K & 45K is a pretty common problem. Nobody makes an AM TOB, that I know of, to upgrade.

Yeah, I like the red and black also. Yeah, I was hoping to be able to do a re-gear to 5.13's and tube, sleeve and gusset the front axle with tax return. Looks like I'm gonna have to have throwout bearing and clutch changed out though. How many miles yours have on it?

Thanks! I like yours with the flats and no lift with 35's. Tires fill up the wells and looks better. Ours has a 4" Superlift with flats and 35's. Next time she needs tires, gonna step up to 37's. Yours a standard or auto?
