    street legal ?

I would be willing to bet some inspection guys would not know the difference between full hydraulic and hydraulic assist steering. but I believe it says right in the inspection manual that it needs to have a mechanical link on the steering system.

I registered my truck last year with a three link and coil spring conversion and they said nothing about it.

CO2 tank refills near Cedar City

You might try down to Tinks Auto (Napa). I believe they deal in tanks for welding and such. I am sure they could point you in the right direction if they can't take care of you.

Opinions on the Pro Comp Mud Terrains?

I must say that I run them and have not had a problem with them yet. The sidewalls seem to be pretty thin though. Truth be told, I did get an awesome deal on them, 35's for about $115 new.

    Looking for a Welder

From what I gather by your description you want an arm or two that can support an awning on the side of a house or other structure, which can be folded in flat with the wall when not in use. Are you planning on using multiple supports or just one per awning? How long are you thinking the...

    Looking for a Welder

I do work for a company that is well equipped in the welding department, and as I am their primary fabricator, they kindly grant me access to the shop when I need it for my personal projects. The down side is that I am down in Cedar City. If that is not a problem, let me know and hopefully we...

    milling/cnc work for my wheels?

I ran a set of white spoke wheels that were meant for a chevy on my 86 4-runner. I actually used a plasma torch at work and uses that indentation for a guide. I had no problems at all. It does require a steady hand or you may have ugly consequences. Like stated in the first post, my wheels...

    The Maze fri. the 2nd

Oh hey I remember your rig. I caught the end of a trail ride you were on up here in cedar city. I think my truck still had the bed and everything when we were out on the wild west trail. One of the other rigs will be Craig's old grand cherokee that one of my friends bought. hope that you can...

    2010 rules

In my case there is less to get hung up on but I still have leaves hanging out the rear that can get caught on things. I would be perfectly fine with the penalty for the suspension swap but it sounds like there are a few people that might not appreciate the fact that I do not have rear...

    2010 rules

I guess from what I have read on the previous posts, the battery is the least of my worries for running stock class. I am running a flatbed, full width but the frame is bobbed about a foot from stock. Coil spring 3-link conversion on the front. Other than a little welding rod and a front...

St George & Logandale wheeling trip

Myself and a few other guys are planning on running the maze on fri. the 2nd in the morning if anyone wants to jump in with us. It will be the first time for all of us, so if someone has some experience with this trail that would be welcomed.

Old School Rock Crawl, stock rules

Yeah I had one in my 4-runner that I sold, I guess I should have taken it out. I don't run any lights or a winch, so my standard battery has always been sufficient.

Old School Rock Crawl, stock rules

Thanks for the input guys, hopefully I can score one before the event. I really did not count on that expense.

    2010 rules

My tech question would be; is it nesessary to run a sealed battery like an optima in the stock class like the rules state. If so that would most likely prevent a person like me from coming to the event.

Old School Rock Crawl, stock rules

I would like some clarification on the rules for the street stock class in this event. The rules state that your battery must be of the no-spill type, is this limited to an optima style battery or will a regular style battery that is tied down properly suffice. Any info or feedback would be...
