Used, came out of a 2005 f350 front axle. Looks to be in good shape. Worthless to me but I figured I would see if this is of use to anyone before I throw it away.

I went to change gears in my ford front 60 from 3.73 to 5.38. I left the 3.73 carrier bearing and pinion cup spacer shims in, and bolted the 5.38 ring gear on to the carrier and installed the new ring and pinion in the housing just to get an idea of how much spacer thickness I should start...

I just got a 5.38 dana 60 gearset and the pinion shaft is machined different than the original. The one on the left is the new one, the one on the right is the original. Doesn't look like a crush sleeve will even fit on the new one. Any ideas?

I'm wondering how well a 28 spline 9 inch pinion holds up. Is the 35 spline pinion a necessary upgrade in a buggy with a very healthy V8, 5.14 gears, and 38" tires, weighing about 3000 lbs? Just looking for someone out there who has experience with this. Thanks.

4.56 gears and carrier with a limited slip for a 14 bolt. I disassembled these the other night and they look good, no chips, pitting, or weird wear. $150 obo. Also, both 14 bolt shafts. Good shape. $25 each. Chris 801-898-1631
