got the transfer case in. i had to cut a bunch a floor away but its in. it looks like i will have a 21 inch belly. if you can see the tranny mount hangs down more then the t-case and the oil pan. it is a th350 to a atlas adapter. has anyone cut an inch or two out of it to move the cross member up. i think i will do it.

i put on my tie rod, i sleeved it to a 1.75 inch tube. just so you all know harbor freight drill bits suck and will bend easily.
installed my fuel cell, all fittings are from rubber and hose.
cut 1.5 inches out of my t-case adapter and welded it back together.
cut 1 inch out of my oil pan for better belly clearance. we where not sure if cast aluminum that has been sitting in oil for 7 years would weld but we did it and it looks like it will hold. i will put high heat silicone on the out side of the pan just in case. i also had to cut the oil pick up tube to match the new oil pan.

i got a rear drive shaft from totton's- 1410 to 1410 with 1/4 wall, the rear yoke on the Dana 80 was a 1480 so i bought a new, 1410. the old yoke was so hard to get off i broke 3 of the ears off with my 16lbs sledge. i bet someone has a puller that would have made my life a lot easier. it is nice to have it driving now and out of my garage. i parked it on my truck so i can park my car in the garage for the winter. next steps- front fenders, boat sides, then cage.

You do have a bunch of torque from that 8.1L, but I bet it'll hold up well. :D Looks good.

I love the ride height.

has anyone really broken a 1410? i went with the 1410 because the 1480 would not have given me the angle the 1410 does.
