How much pressure does your fuel pump make and will that damage the filter element?

The accumulator will retain little to no pressure. I'll install some reducer bushings in the larger ports, so that all 3 ports are equal in size. With the return line being equall in size to the supply line, there won't really be a chance for pressure to build up.

I plan on feeding it with a low pressure pump, intended for carburator applications. I think they typically push about 7 or 8 psi, but that's irrelevant.

:greg:it's not a commando :greg:but it's looking good:D

No, but it'll be done before your commando... and I still have a long, LONG way to go... ;)

I've been working on 4-link brackets lately. I built the front x-member and welded the tabs to it. I have one of the front upper link mounts done, and a start on the front axle upper link mounts. I'll post up some pics when I get a chance.

FYI, I didn't use the ballistic fabrication 4-link brackets that were shown earlier in the thread. If someone can use them, come over and make me a cheap offer for them. :D

any new updates ? This is going to be a monster !!

Haven't made a lot of progress lately. :(
I had been traveling again for business, and lately I've been trying to work on the yard before winter gets here (installing a sprinkler system... blah )
That unfortunately hasn't left me with a lot of time for the buggy.

What I HAVE done is started on the 4-links (mostly the front). The lower mounts are all in, and I have about 1/2 of the work done for the uppers.

The rear 4-link still has a long way to go. I have all of the heims and misalignment bushings, but want to get all of the mounts done (front and rear) before giving Summit machine a call for the links. :D

Looks great. I wanted to ask, I guess you believe that the wieght of the rockwell is worth it compared to a built 60

Yep. :)
As Tacoma mentioned, a rock without drums is still manageable. A built 60 is SWEET but you can't beat the cost to strength ratio of the rockwell. I also wanted 4 wheel steer, which is a breeze with the rocks.

It's also time for an update. Front link mounts are complete. Now I just need the links to go in them. I also bent up some rear coilover mounts yesterday.

Progress has been painfully slow lately, but I'm hopeful that wintertime will allow me more time to work on it. I'm also stating a new job which means no more travelling. :) Its hard to work on your project when you're not home. LOL

I suck at updates, so here are a bunch.

Front 4-link is in. :D

Lowers were made by Von @ ben hanks and are 2" o.d. (1.750 sleeved with 2"). Total wall thickness is 7/16 I believe. 1.250 QA1 rod ends.

Uppers are 1.5" x .375 wall. I'll sleeve them with some 1.750. Rod ends are 1" QA1's
They were made by JJ's machine in Spanish Fork.

Both shops did a great job. :)

I made the link towers in the garage. They will be receiving more gusseting when I add the coilover mounts.

The fat man in the red suit brought me some goodies.

A pair of 2.5" x 14" FOA coilovers, some eibach springs, and some air bumps.

Note that the new FOA nitrogen bumps have a plastic insert in the contact pad (looks like nylon or delrin to me).

The wife LOVES it when I use the kitchen table as a work bench... :-\

Smittybuilt XRC8 8000 lb. cheapo winch for the rear. This is the "new model" with the 5.5 hp motor.

I'll make a home for it somewhere behind the fuel cell.

I also built one trans crossmember, going to build another one to support the rear of the Stak (those suckers are heavy). I didn't take any pics of that. :-\

Picked up a 5 pc dimple die set from Sexton offroad in Kamas. Fast shipping, and great prices from those guys! Now I can start making some parts with a lot of holes in them...

Put an LS1 intake on the 6.0 (backwards).

I still need to get with Kiel to see (up close) his solution for the goofy fuel crossover tube.
