still have another coat of black and some clear coats to do, I am liking this gloss black rustoleum paint so far just have to see how it holds up. You can see a ninja in the reflection.

ive got about $100 cash in it plus some stuff I I gave my friend and helped him find some stuff for his zuk. I think he told me that if this finishes up real nice then he will start charging about $500 to do it again on another zuk but im not sure if hes set on that.

What makes you think that you have to have 32" tires to go wheeling? Your always wasting money going bigger and bigger. It's a samurai, the bigger you go the faster it breaks.... My best performing samurai has stock suspension and 29x8.5 swampers on it. One of the builds I am in the middle of has 30x9.5 big horns on it. Keep it small, learn to drive....

I originally didnt want to go any bigger but my 31's are pretty shot and I dont think they will be safe to wheel on. The reason for going to 32's besides the condition of the 31's is that a friend of mine found some mounted 32's for me that only had about 500 miles on them and the guy that had them only wanted $100 for all 5 which is way better than paying between $250-800 on some replacement 31's.

You are right about the bigger the faster it breaks I just couldnt pass up these tires for the price.

got back to utah today and picked up my samurai. Flipped the tailgate, mounted a few things back on. Now I need to pick up the aftermarket bumpers that my buddy has and put them on, make tube fenders and rock sliders, and need buy some cable to hold up my tailgate like on pickups.

Will post pics later in the morning when the light comes out.

not the best but here are some pictures of the flipped tailgate and the rest of the samurai as it sits now. I had to put a latch on the passenger side of the tailgate to pull it in alittle and seal. I really need to grind down and paint where the hinges were on the tailgate and put bolts in the old holes and the holes from the rear tire mount.

just picked up 4 brand new yj springs still in plastic wrap from a friend in kearns for a killer price. Now for the lift I need to find some cheap way to mount them and make friends with a good welder, get 4 bushings, spring pads for the front axle, zlink or ott steering and im set.

I know im killing myself. I completly spaced it and was in the moment when I saw these others and forgot. If I could take these back and get yours I would, dang it all. Hey when you did your yj lift did you make your own mounting kit?

I like it. In my opinion, the more green that gets turned black, the better. But it's your rig, do what you like.

Why did you flip the tailgate?

I flipped the tailgate because I wanted more room to store things like a deer or an elk if I needed the room and also if I was to haul a bike. I hated how it swung open so wide as well and how that would limit the accessability to the rear in some places. The welding was done badly on the hinges so I have to redo those, I have to diamond plate the tailgate and also get cables on it so it can hold wieght also.

thanks max power hopefully I can get it all made like I want. Im going to try and do everything with a buddy named glenn this summer and probably let someone else with more skill add the speaker mounts to my rear cage for me.

Im hoping I can get some help building new rear wheel wells cheaply since mine have been pounded down by the last owner for speaker boxes and there is rust behind the flares and into the wheel wells so I want to just cut them higher when the wheel wells are made to ad some flexing room. I also need some metal welded in where the kick panels used to be since the last owner also hacked those out to fit some gigantic speaker boxes(will post pics tomorrow on that crap).
