The problem is that weld was too strong = twisted splines. Tisk tisk
What was the purpose of that worthless output design and had you known about it what would your approach been? Not because metric BIIs are soooo cool sake/tech

So I am hoping you two know each other and this is all in fun, other wise I am going to call bullsh!t.

This is not what RME is about.

This isn’t a place where it’s ok to arm chair quarterback some one else’s build from the anonymity of a keyboard with that condescending, I am better than you, attitude.

Not cool at any level.

All fun and games jinky. We know each other. Had the ford lover not deleted his thread you would see all hazing in his thread from me and you can see his hazing in my thread. Him making fun that my weld is too strong is actually flattering. And the worthless output design is Fords doing.

Anyone have a line on a good th400? He has a good Chevy motor meow.

Cool, I was hoping that was the case. Or at least some drunk posting. :D

It was all sarcasm and in good fun. Some awesome talent was used to build that setup and the aftermath discovered is pretty dang cool.

The second post was asking what in the world was with the mystery OE double slip yoke type output they were not aware of until it broke. I was inquiring what his theory was behind the original equipment and had they known about it what kind of cool solution would’ve been dreampt up. I’m not familiar with late model stuff, especially not from an fuel/production economy era

And yes, for now, I am just an armchair quarterback battling it out on the Internet. It’s all good jinx

Working on securing a shop so I can get back to building but still have mixed feelings about ever publicly sharing on the internet again.

Pressed in sun gear. Maxed my press out doing it. There are little serrated teeth that cut into the aluminum on top of taking 20tons to full seat it. i dont think it can ever spin free.

Picture of the good side. NWF shifter (self jigging plate design) with a little tab welded to the bottom. I drilled the shifter body to catch a hole of the shift tower. The tab catches a boss on the case. 205 is two OE shifters with the DOM pivots milled down to both share the original pivot bolt. Apples to oranges but you asked. Heck, my own will be apples to oranges juance I’m finished.

Now if you’ll excuse me, gotta get my flat biller on and continue learning myself double corner miter joints and planes and rotations oh my! They was enough room to put a nut under it. i too used a piece of 1" .120 wall tube. i ended up putting the bolt from the bottom up and then bolting the eco box on. There is no way to put a wrench on the bolt or nut with the eco box bolted to the 205. i figured if the bolt fails then we will just weld it right to the shift rail. Have you looked into bigger heavier detent springs?

I made some mock up bushing that we can weld in place after all these years of drive train mounting. 80687680_1013264655714164_9183427539626885120_n.jpg80495433_2733754273347946_8848072275497320448_n.jpg80242360_610736686349350_4778973079051173888_n.jpg

5.3 fits like a glove. it helps that this bronco had a 2" body lift on it when he got it. 80051353_2550569975173595_3739718639847211008_n.jpg79532326_450364588952983_4439794258941050880_n.jpg

We used the old cross member we had fabbed up for the dual cases. This bronco was meant for this Chevy drive train, the old tranny mount lined right up. `?

We got all new hard line fuel lines ran and a new pump all plumbed in. The tranny lines all plumbed. Waiting on fedex for the headers to arrive so we can fit the tranny dip stick tube in. We ended up getting some S10 LS conversion headers off ebay.

We deleted the old head lights as they where crap anyway and i remounted these leds farther out since we had to hack out a bunch of core support to fit the radiator. The radiator is out of his 80 blazer that was pretty new when it got parted out years ago. hopefully its enough to keep this thing some what cool. we are going to run the mechanical fan and hopefully be able to stuff some shroud around it. I mounted the radiator today. there is about a inch between it a and the fan clutch.
