Where are we at on getting a final draft of the proposed signage?

There were a few of you that had very good input on the suggested wording...

Mbryson
EZ Rhino
Skyetone

there were others that had GOOD stuff to say, if you have good suggestions add it otherwise don't post on this thread... This is brainstorming, not the cristism corner. "No answer is wrong" (my kindergarten teaher told me that one :D)

Lets here the proposed ideas...

Ahem.......

Let's start here. (see below) Remember brevity is important. Does this cover the important points? Should the bottom read: "This trail voluntarily adopted and maintained by member's of Rocky Mountain Extreme.com" ?

Also, I think it would be good to have a poster sized deal on the Kiosk at the trailhead for RS. (To make it simple, it could be four sheets of paper layed out and laminated togather as one and stapled up there.) It could include:

A map of area
A more detailed layout of the trail rating system (whatever we choose to use)
A description of the trail(s)
A list of do's and don't's
Anything else?

Just kidding.

I don't want to go over this again.......the rating.........

I honestly think the ski system is best but I am biased. Apparently I was outvoted in the previous mess so if we are going to use the moab system that's fine. Can we agree on keeping it simple, call RS a 3 and Con a 5?

hope I didn't re-open a can of galactic killer mutated worms......(from hell)

Yup, and cruiser (Ollie the home) is standing here and thinks the same as well...

And on a side note Ollie wants all of you to know he has probably run Constrictor more than anyone and will still break the next time out.... :D:D

(as he hits me for typing that ;))

Ok Kurt,
send the sign over to the person who was going to have it lazer'd out.........

Oh wait, first, what size? I was thinking about 18"x22" or so, on a single post of as large as possible diameter (filled with concrete of course).

You are absolutely correct in that it does have some optional 4+ stuff depending on the line you take, etc. etc.
Particularly to the right of the tree. And the far right side of the waterfall.

Normally I think we'd rate it for the easiest mandatory way through. I think a good place to mention the optional hard stuff would be on the "poster" that we will put up on that kiosk/bulletin board at the highway. How does that sound?

Good question... lets discuss that one a little bit, in the mean time, I will email/PM the plasma cutter, OCNORB, and invite him to come add some input to this thread. Hopefully he will have a good idea about the size of sign we need to contain the suggested text.

:D
