Honestly, Its a Wasatch Cruiser tech/social night where people Trick or Treat out of their vehicles, I'm in charge of that social, It should be fun, Its our first one that I can think of.

I almost have the lid finished.
All the metal is welded up, I just need to do a little grinding and then I can paint it, I have some stainless steel being cut to cover the top, I'm going to adhere it with 3M VHB tape as suggested here and then get it fitted.

Yup, That is a 1" piece of steel I had laying around along with one of those pin clip thingies, But it works :hi5

Yup, Trying to weld 1" to .120"... It seems solid, But only time will tell.

I have the top put together and hopefully it will stay together... :shifty: We are leaving for Surf-N-Turf this Thurs.
I made an error when ordering aluminum, So what started out as 2 pieces of aluminum turned into 5 :thumbdown I have some good seam sealer for all the edges.
I need to get the weatherstripping put on but things are coming together.
Like I mentioned, I hope it stays together and I wont have to take it all apart.
We may turn the tent so it opens to the side, But we will give it a shot like this first.
I even built another tow mount for the 40 which I still need to paint.

Its not cheap, I would think close to $2500, However, I won the RTT and already have all the tools.
Considering a true off road camp trailer can start at $5000, Its not too shabby
