I'm more if a Chevy guy too, but it doesn't seem like this vintage Ford has taken off like the GMs and I'm not sure why. I think they'd make good builders.

Being a Suzuki guy, I always though these were awesome and underappreciated. Not nearly as refined as a contemporaneous Civic Si, but cheaper. I think one would make a killer Autocross car these days if you could find one in decent enough shape.
I do have the business end of one, though. A complete Swift GTi engine waiting to get swapped into my Samurai. One day...

My good friend who worked at LowRange is building a swift right now. He also used to have a GTI turbo samurai he built. Can’t remember if I shared this before or not.

Starting in like, ‘06? Arctic Cat used a Suzuki 660cc J series 3 cyl turbo automotive engine in their T660 sleds. Allegedly they have insane power and torque. I’ve been trying to track down a wrecked unit to use for a samurai or LJ swap for years, but to no avail.
It’s honestly probably the only sled in history with a timing chain!
