It's 60s hot rod stuff! This car is chopped enough that it's not likely to be all that much of an issue. The first time I saw a car from the era with a chromed dash, I was all in.

Here's a survivor kustom. Not a great pic but when you're in the presence of this car, you can tell, this dash was an absolute attention grabber.

Back in high school @spaggyroe had a ‘73 Bronco with a chrome dash. I always thought it was pretty cool.

Got my dad's oxy/acetylene tanks swapped out today. He bought them when I was 9.
Those are the certification dates. Also, the little window use to be a swastika.

I haven't seen one of those in a long time. When I was working at Electric Boat I saw a few, along with stamps from the 50s and 60s. It's amazing how long those cylinders can last.
