Let's just say I'm not going to make it easy on them. Deadline is Dec 15th, I've filed for exception, if they want me to get it they have to reject my request and even then I'm not rushing out tomorrow to get it. If someone offered me a job between now and then it would make things even more fun.
I had a conversation with our boss today and since I work for the other half of the organization, I'm not required to get the vaccine. I asked what would happen if we eventually return to the office, what will happen between the two half's of our organization? Will those on my side who did not get the vaccine be required to wear a mask? He said that due to my employer they cannot require that. So what does that mean for your side? I mean, if you guys are all required to be vaccinated, but the guy in the cube next to you isn't and doesn't have to wear a mask either... I mean, thats some bullshit right there!

That said, just get the vaccine. Its cool to have the microchip set off airport metal detectors!

...that may be my titanium and steel leg, but I tell TSA its the microchip for giggles.

It's probably not the most positive attitude but I think if I just get it all discussion ends, if I can't even get out of wearing a mask then I don't see a reason to get it. I get the impression it's me and one or two others that haven't got it yet. The rest were probably in as soon as they said they could get it with the rest of the healthcare workers (no they didn't invite me to that group). They go on about if I don't get it there won't be a raise next cycle and I look at the 1.14% I got last cycle and wonder if I care. I hate to say it but I feel like a number. Even more of a number than anywhere else I've worked. The last meeting when they talked about it's my problem if there are any issues, they won't even cover PTO for covid sick time after forcing me to get it really annoyed me. Everything is the "safe and effective" tag line as all propaganda has been, If it's really safe and really effective they need to have some skin in the game.

Anyway I got the flu shot as required, waiting for them to reject my covid request because I got it. There's another shot I don't believe in but at this point just go along with. Got to give the flu shot some time to take over and build the nano-bot army prior to any covid microchips that may be forced on me.

I work as RN for Intermountain health care. This week they announced that every body will be mandated to get the vaccine by the end of the year. Same excuses as Greg. We have government contracts so we must abide by the government rules. I got the one shot J&J vaccine but don't necessarily agree with mandates. But we are also required to get the flu vaccine so other co workers say what is the difference. Also they don't care if you got covid or not. Still need to get the vaccine.
We are already short staffed at the hospital. I am curious how this will affect us in the very near future. I think this will force peoples hand one way or the other. Interesting to say the least and see what happens.

I'm an asshole, I am well aware of that, but I am a reasonable ass hole. If my previous company had said, get a shot, you can demask, that would have made some sense and all I need is some incentive to make my own adult choice, I'd have gotten the jab. Instead, they said all the most illogical and contradictory things at once. You had covid, we don't care, quarantine, wear a mask, get the shot and get tested weekly.
When Texas Instruments took over and said, if you are vaccinated, your risk is low, take off your mask, I was elated. It's the total lack of a coherent plan or policy that I think drives most of us nuts. Like Spork and Stephen are experiencing. Total made up, fly by the seat of your pants garbage.

During my schooling in the MLS program at the U of U School of medicine almost every class had an element of immunology related to it. Virology, Hematology, Bacteriology, etc we were always covering immune responses in relation to lab testing. Not recognizing natural immunity goes against every principle I have ever learned and I cannot understand why the medical community is not standing up against this nonsense. People are always saying “follow the science” but yet they want to ignore the science on this.

Classic barn wall tactics. Change or dilute the definitions, over time they hope nobody will notice.

Same thing with vaccine. Everybody is calling this mRNA "thing" a vaccine. It is not. Vaccines are historically based on triggering natural immunity using (dare I say it) homeopathy (also now called pseudo science) which is taking a small/diluted/disabled amount of a substance and introducing it to the body to get a reaction. So I guess traditional vaccines are pseudo science, according to "mainstream" knowledge?

The covid mRNA "thing" does not have any of the covid virus contained in it, but what it does have is a set of mRNA instructions to which hijack your normal processes and create spike "proteins" that are or create the antibodies for the covid virus. Sure... I guess that's why it's "working" so well?

But nevermind us, just a bunch of dumb rednecks.

UNSTUCK

But stuck more often.
I called yesterday to schedule my annual check up with my cardiologist. They are usually a month out. They actually had an appointment first thing this morning, so I jumped on it. They did all the normal checks and tests. Everything looked great (for me anyways), as usual. I then started in on a conversation about covid and getting the vaccination. He explained to me that my condition is "pretty mild" and he felt I shouldn't be too concerned about it. I mentioned to him that I have already had covid. He jumped in and said that changes everything. He told me not to get the vaccine as my actual covid antibodies are way better than what I would get from the vaccine and, of course, not getting vaccinated removes all side effect risk. He then said if I think I will be forced to get vaccinated to keep my job then I should have a procedure done that can potentially fix my issue. This would be the best situation for my heart. Then he said, no matter what make sure to only get the moderna shot as it is less likely to cause any heart problems. I've been thinking about the procedure for a few years now. It comes with its own set of risks, and not a high percentage of total success. I went ahead and scheduled the procedure for thanksgiving weekend. One night in the hospital and a week off work. Fun.

Interesting take from a doctor since the Moderna vaccine is linked to a vast majority of the heart issues. Many countries are actually not allowing people under 30 to get the Moderna due to the higher risk. From my MANY, MANY doctor appointments in regards to my reaction I have been told that this particular vaccine is responsible for a majority of the heart issues they are treating. They are also treating more people than are reported, but VAERS is a patient initiated reporting system.

So today, the company I work for rescinded their mandate that all employees get vaccinated by Dec 8th...

I think the company realized how many employees they'd be loosing come Dec 8th and had to change their approach.

So glad Skywest isn’t forcing the issue (even though I have my nano bots). Been getting immense pressure from United airlines to make a mandate for Skywest but our CEO is standing his ground and saying this is a personal choice.

That's extremely frustrating. I thought I had a decent plan in place and now I'm second guessing myself. Yours was a Moderna vaccination?

Yes. From the research I've been doing the Modern vaccine uses quite a bit more of the mRNA tech than the Pfizer-BioNtech. This seems to have a much stronger reaction in people who have had a natural coronavirus infection previously. The previous infection seems to be the main contributor, but combined with other possible health concerns, it can cause a strong response. As several people have seen on here now it can cause a serious drop in BP. Im not necessarily unhealthy, but I do have several health factors that contributed in addition to only being 90 days past a COVID infection. I think that the percentage of people who will have a reaction is still really low, but it's more common than is being reported. The chance is low, but I would advise maybe talking to another doctor if you do plan on getting vaccinated. That is what I think bothers me the most about all this. I've been told that it's very dangerous for me to get the second shot by my doctors who treat me on a regular basis, but urged to get it by others. I feel as if some doctors are not really taking proper screening seriously. My Dad in Tennessee didn't even get out of the car to get his vaccine. They gave him the shot, asked his name, and gave him his card.
