    Over Active Secondary

My relatively new Weber 34-34 is dumping fuel from the secondary. so much that it maintains a puddle on top of the throttle plate when the secondary is closed. This carb is about 1.5 years old but is off-road-only and only has maybe 40 hours total use. Any suggestions as to what could be...

    Roll Over Flame Thrower

The seatbelt idea is nice. I think the best thing is to wire it in with the key switch and try to find a gravity switch that will kill it if i'm upside down.

    Roll Over Flame Thrower

Thats a good point although in that event I could just bypass it. The problem may be that I will have to have a bypass to get it to start if the float bowl isn't full. i may need to make this a little complicated to get it to work right and safe

    Roll Over Flame Thrower

Its a GM alternator of some kind. It was in there when I got it. Is the charge wire typically 12v, I could just poke around the harnase and see if I can find one that goes dead when its not running. The trick is to get it running at the moment. I can hard wire the pump for testing I guess...

Anyone using 34 DGEC on a samurai,

my wiring is all tore up anyway so I am going to get out of the electricity thing as much as I can. All it will take is an electric choke wire. I can handle that. Comparing the new carb to the stock one. One barrel of the 35 is about as big as both on the stock carb. This ought to make...

Anyone using 34 DGEC on a samurai,

I probably won't get it on until after christmas but I will report on how it goes. I hope we get a good now day after I get it on. It would be nice to be able to spin the 33's, it has always been so pathetioc with the malfunctioning stock carb.

Anyone using 34 DGEC on a samurai,

top end performance. webercarbs.com I believe. I don't know why but they kick everyones trash on price. My 34/34 came yesterday and it seems to be a complete kit although I haven't gone though it very thoroughly yet. The 32/36 is only a few bucks more too, at this point I am wishing I had...

Anyone using 34 DGEC on a samurai,

I did a little searching and couldn't find much on the subject, what have you heard is wrong with it? I have heard it will get worse gas mileage but I have a real hard time caring about that, If it would run good and got 15 MPG I would be thrilled. Thats what you get out of a 800cc polaris on...

Anyone using 34 DGEC on a samurai,

It appears that the cheepest way to dump the original samurai carb is a 34 DGEC. Kit around $250. Anyone using one? Any complaints about the jetting or factory setup on the kits? Also, how does it take steep climbs relative to a stock carb. Thanks

Me thinks my alternator is on crack

All right, so do I need to replace the wire that goes all the way to the fuze box or ECU and back or can I just run a big fat wire from the alternator up to the positiv for the battery?

Me thinks my alternator is on crack

I bought a sami with a GM alternator, installed in a rather questionable manner but working fine until recently. Here's the problem, When I start my samurai it starts cooking the smaller wire coming from the battery (runs everything but the starter):(. The trick is that is only happens a...

    Sidekick Rubber

Atleast 235 75 15 would be good, I would just like to hear from someone who has done it and can say definitively that it won't rub. have you ever driven one with 235's or 30's?

    Sidekick Rubber

in my limited experience I have found that suspension lift gives flex but body lift gives more tire clearance. If you do a suspension lift you will still rub as much as stock or more with the same size tires unless you move the bump stopes. My friend is planning on doing both.

    Sidekick Rubber

My buddy just bought a 96 sidekick two door and is in the market for tires so I need to tap the vast power of the collective to find out how big he can go without rubbing. so What is the biggest tire size that will fit with stock wheels? Can you go bigger with a two inch body lift...

    Custom Rig Hauler Trailer

Picked up a trailer, did it on the cheep and Ill see how it works. It certainly has a big enough axle, 7Klb. The body of the trailer isn't that string though. It behaved fairly well on the way back from cache valley. It has breaks which will have to be used sparingly of coarse. Its an ugly...
