If I give my title to the State of Utah for an OHV tag, can I ever get my CJ-5 street licensed again?

I have a 92 XJ that needs steering mods. I have been told that 95ish ZJ 2WD knuckles are a high steer setup and will bolt on. I would use DOM and Heims for the tierod and drag link. Does anyone have experience with this? Would I be better off with another setup?

Does anyone have experience in dying a soft top? My CJ-5 has a "blue jean" soft top which I detest. But it is too good to throw away and I'd like to try and dye it if that is possible. Any hints?
