    The stock exhaust? Any parts store will have a bolt in $20 muffler that will be louder than stock.

    I know you don't want to listen and you want to do your own thing, and thats fine. But I (and many others) speak from experience. It will sound like **** and piss everyone else off. For a glasspack to sound good you need a longer one, >$20, and it needs alot of air flow(i.e. big horsepower)...

    Back pressure = bad. Scavenging = good.

    It sounds like horse ****. And its louder than fawk. Noone in the backseat will be able to hear anything and you'll have your radio maxed to even make out the words. If you want loud and good sounding put a Flowmaster 40 on and a turn down after that. Or ideally a new 2.5" tailpipe.

    No... no they don't. H2 is the SAME drivetrain as a 2500 light duty truck, the only real difference is the 4.56 gears.

    Weld the whole thing. You WILL break the side gears loose and have pieces floating around causing havoc.

    I've never had any issues with jackit. Ive even gone in, asked thirty questions about parts, and then left without buying anything. I don't go out of my way to go there but when a part is cheaper I buy from them. I wait ten minutes in line at Wal mart, or subway, or the movie theater on...

    I dig my 465. I killed an auto with the same motor and the 465 just laughs at it. In a purpose built crawler/racer I would rather have a fairly built auto. ATLEAST a shift kit and regular fluid changes.

    Mini spools bring the suck IMO. Weld it up, but search on pirate for how to do it right. Don't half ass it, or it will break.

    I doubt it. You'll break chromo shafts before you break a properly welded carrier.

    I already said once there is more to towing than power. A 3/4 ton fullsize can tow twice what that truck could in a safer fashion. Look buy the damn thing if you want, I'm not going to stop you.

    Nope. '82 K20 350. Mine has an edelbrock intake and carb, mallory ignition, exhaust, emissions cut out. Nothing special. I never said it was good on gas though.:ugh:

    Theres alot more to safe towing than power. I wouldn't tow anything more than I would with my XJ with that truck. And my old Chevy is making alot more than 150 HP and alot more than 300 ft lbs.:greg: It does look like a decent platform if you're into that kind of thing.

    I guess its just different perspectives. It doesn't make sense to me for people to lobby for a little truck with all that power for no other reason than gas mileage. But maybe it does make sense to enough people?:confused:

    Because you can't have your cake and eat it too. A 4 cylinder doesn't tow for sh!t and big blocks get bad gas mileage. They both have their place. Yeah having a twin turbo Duramax get a thousand miles to the gallon would be cool but its not possible. To me that truck is pointless, not being able...

    Well... what are you going to use the 300 foot pounds for? I'm not trying to instigate anything, I'm honestly curious. To me its always been cars are for gas mileage and trucks are for hauling.
